7/17/08 | Delays with "A Life Spent Dying"

8/9/07 | Line-Up Changes
Kevin Leeds, formerly on keyboard, has moved to the second guitar slot in what will most likely be a permanent move. As a result, we will be auditioning prospective keyboard players in the coming weeks and we'll hopefully solidify a full line-up shortly. With any luck, we'll be playing shows again before the end of 2007.
5/17/07 | Album Update
For the past couple of weekends, Fall of Empyrean has been hard at work recording our second full-length album, A Life Spent Dying, at Arcane Digital Recording studios in Chandler, Arizona. All drum, guitar, bass, and keyboard tracks are now completed! This coming weekend, we'll finish up the vocals and then begin editing/mixing. We're hoping to release the album sometime late in the summer, but we'll keep you updated.
2/7/07 | New Music!
"Vast But Desolate," one of the three songs we demo'd this past weekend, is now available for your enjoyment on our MySpace account. We appreciate any and all feedback. Enjoy!
2/6/07 | Recording/Album Update
Fall of Empyrean finished recording their 3-song promo CD this past weekend at Arcane Digital Recording studios. Things went well and the recording sounds good, despite a very limited budget of time and money. We will have at least one of the songs available for download soon, but it's unlikely that they will be officially released. The main purpose of the recording is to drum up interest and finances for the recording of our second full-length album. Which brings us to other news ...
Fall of Empyrean has set the tentative goal of recording their second full-length album in the first half of 2007. The album, entitled A Life Spent Dying, will feature the songs "Veins Split Wide," "Vast But Desolate," "The Air is Still," "Lifeless in My Arms," "Anhedonia," "Breathe Deep the Cinders," "A Long Silence," and another as-yet-untitled instrumental. The running time with be a succinct 50 minutes or so, and the album will feature a couple of acoustic-based instrumentals ala "Virga." The album, like the promo, will be recorded with Ryan Butler at Arcane Digital Recording studios. More updates to come.
12/21/06 | An Update ... Finally
With the holidays here, Justin moving into a new house, and the band losing their rehearsal spot, things have been very quiet in the Fall of Empyrean camp lately. However, there is some activity to report. The band will be entering Arcane Digital Recording studios in the beginning of February to demo out three new tracks that will eventually become part of some bigger recording. Tentative song titles are "Vast But Desolate," "Veins Split Wide," and "The Air is Still." Unfortunately, more detailed information is unavailable right now.
5/12/06 | More Line-Up News
Fall of Empyrean has begun rehearsing with Brandon Burning, Justin's brother, in the second guitarist position. Right now, this move is not permanent, but things are working out well, so every option is open.
4/14/06 | Assorted News
Fall of Empyrean is rehearsing again, although progress is slow and steady. There is much rust to clear away before we play a show again, but we hope to perform live before the end of the year.
We are also beginning work on our next album, though details are very vague right now, and we don't expect to enter the studio again until sometime in the first half of 2007. We'll keep you posted.
In the meantime, we do have plans for a new t-shirt design, as well as some stickers. The new merchandise should come to fruition in the next few months.
4/14/06 | Line-Up Changes
Fall of Empyrean has parted ways with Cristobal Félix and Matt Turkington. Although we knew Matt's tenure would be short (he was only a temporary drummer), we were surprised by Cris's eventual departure and we sadly move on without him. Replacing Matt is Kilk drummer, Andy York, so welcome him! He has also played with local AZ death/black metal band Adversary of Existence. No replacement for Cris has been found yet, but we are currently auditioning candidates.
4/14/06 | New Website
The new official Fall of Empyrean website launched today, with a complete redesign courtesy of Robert Høyem and At the Ends of the Earth Designs. We greatly appreciate all his hard work and creativity.
If you are in a band and ever in need of a website, an album design, a t-shirt design, or any other kind of artwork, we highly recommend contacting Robert. He's an eager up-and-comer whose work is top notch.
